Well must admit to being initially impressed with the latest offering from google.  This browser seems faster and is a challenger to Firefox for me.  Explorer went a long while back!

A month back, Lewis gave me a photocopy of an article, it has stayed with me since reading it.  Like a good wine, the more it sits the better its taste.  No idea where it was from…..will have to ask Lewis when I next speak to him.  These are some of the words;

we plan and work, making our contribution the best we know how.  We try to shape things in the way nearest to what we believe is God’s will. Not seeing clearly beyond the next decision, but trusting him to work things out.  That’s the key word – trusting.  Being prepared to commit ourselves to his direction, doing all we can to stay sensitive and responsive, but leaving the end result with him.

The initial planning will have had reasons why each aspect of the programme was included but as each year goes by it can be possible to forget the principles and go through the motions. This can negate any reasons for planning the event in the first place.
Reminds me of the old story of the lady who cut off the ends of her ham before cooking it. When asked why, she responded that this was the way her mum had cooked the ham. When her mother was asked she responded in the same way. When the grandmother was asked she replied…..”it was the only way it would fit in the pan”!
So tell me…..why are each aspects of your programme included?

1) my bike has developed a fault on the pedal crank requiring me to use a spanner every mile of use.
2) the garage door mechanism at home has failed requiring a new garage door – it will have to wait!
3) Our oven exploded last week – seriously, a large flash of light and a big bang – thankfully we still have a hob to cook from, although we need a new oven soon.
4) a grid cover was driven over outside our house and broken – beware if you walk past our house……the drain is about 6ft deep!

Think that is all but when it all happens within a few days you begin to worry that you need to stay in bed and not bother surfacing for a few days.
Is it safe to come out yet?
