It is so refreshing to see the beautiful creations of these youngsters…….fabulous!

urban plant life consultation January 27, 2009

The LCM are having a church planting consultation today. They have quite a mix of people from different churchmanships, which is an encouraging sign. Not as sure if the people present are from as rich a diversity as the ethnic and cultural make up of London but what a great start to see some of these folk in the same room together. Well done LCM – would be great to see more co-operation in the mission initiatives of the churches of London.
when values collide January 25, 2009

There may be occasions when the values we place in high regard are tested to the limit and the decisions we need to take become a need to take a “lesser of two evils” approach.
These decisions are often a tipping point in our lives and require an immense amount of soul searching rather than a quick response. It is usually a costly decision that impacts the core of our being but the reality is that these moments may be a time of great growth and one that can determine the path that our lives will take for the future.
When these moments come…..do not hide, do not run away…..face up to them, think them through…….and as Cromwell once said, “Trust God and keep your powder dry”.

using opendns January 20, 2009

Have been setting my son up on an old laptop (hoping screen lasts as it is rather wobbly!) and felt hesitant about spending money on software to avoid the ‘dodgy’ sites when the laptop is ready to die. Was put on to opendns and have been trying it out for a couple of days and it seems to work well. The Salvation Army have used it and have had good reports from them too. You can set it on individual machines or via the router (recommended)……it is so easy to install.
