The trick? – just playing with angles and the way the camera is held. Simple really but also effective.

have never considered myself as an arty person and whilst love my photography, I do not consider myself that good – my contacts are far superior.
As a teenager, watching people draw was always an exciting thing – a certain amount of jealousy was also apparent. With all this in mind, I have decided to challenge myself to picking up a paper and pencil and to draw – the photograph is the first sketch that I have dared show in public! Over the next weeks and months, the hope is that more sketches will be forthcoming – it is therapeutic and so far an enjoyable pursuit.

Much of our thinking tends to centre on the leader and their style of leadership or even the things they need to do in order to combat loneliness.  However, what if we were to think at the issue from a different angle? – the way we treat those in leadership.  What if we honoured them, rather than knock them?  What if we gave them space, rather than demand time?  What if we trusted their decisions, even if they looked crazy?  What if we loved them, instead of loathing them?

Plenty of ‘what if’ questions – there still needs to be a sense of accountability or we would end up with many more dictators.  But I do wonder why followers put all the expectation on the leader, why the leader accepts all that baggage and if there is a different path that we could tread?  Can it be different?  I think it can!

…we are so blessed by nature in our own back yard. The insects are hanging around much longer this week as the heat takes its toll. Beautiful to see and great to be a part of such a beautiful world

Was traveling on the underground from Cockfosters to Heathrow

but was diverted to the magistrates who wanted me at Bow

I tried to get to Brixton to a friend I used to know

but went in the wrong direction and arrived in Walthamstow

Next I tried the cinema and thought of Leicester Square

but ended up in Hangar Lane and discovered nothing there

Baker Street promised food and I thought of a feast

but missed the change completely and turned up in Mill Hill East

Then I found a preacher who told me of King’s Cross

and promised the White City if I would only pay the cost

I started singing Abba songs as I came to Waterloo

then I changed to Chesham with the rich selected few

Living on the underground was a total fascination

as I stumbled on strange old feelings in every local station.

1) Do not respond immediately – immediate responses are rarely helpful

2) Consider the need for a response – there may be no need to respond but if you do be careful not to further stir the fire of discord

3) Be courteous and gracious – you cannot determine the path others take, you can determine your own steps

4)What can you learn? – is this an opportunity to learn something new?, to discover new ways of working?

5) Do not bear grudges – this helps nobody

These are just a few things that I have tried to action, wish that I was more successful.
